南方針尾木鶇（中國大陸作刺尾鶇，學名：Orthonyx temminckii），是雀形目南方針尾木鶇科的一種鳥類。[2]

南方針尾木鶇體重約58.06克，翼長約88.1毫米，嘴峰長約15.7毫米，喙寬度約3.5毫米，喙厚度約5毫米，跗蹠長約29.9毫米，尾長約84.7毫米。南方針尾木鶇在其分布區內為留鳥，其棲息在密集的高大樹木組成的森林中，食性為肉食性，主要食物來源是陸生無脊椎動物。[3]
