里希蓋什（印地語：ऋषिकेश）是印度北部北阿坎德邦的一個小鎮，在喜馬拉雅山脈腳下，被稱為「通向喜馬拉雅的門戶」。恆河流經小鎮並將其分割為兩部分，兩岸坐落着眾多瑜伽學校，為世界聞名的瑜伽靜修處。人口102,138人。里希蓋什每年會迎接數十萬的朝聖者和旅客。當地法律規定所有人必須食素，擯棄煙酒[1][2]，膠袋也被禁止使用。

在2008年對卡迪亞拉（Kaudiyala）和里希蓋什之間的海灘營地進行的一項研究中，戈文德巴拉喜馬拉雅環境研究所的專家進行了研究。
國家綠色法庭已尋求印度政府和北阿坎德邦政府對在地區恆河兩岸漂流營地的「不受管制」行動進行解釋。州政府向法庭保證，直到5月的下一次聽證會之前，不會批准新的漂流營[3][4][5][6][7][8]。
