利奧·胡貝爾曼
利奧·胡貝爾曼（英語：Leo Huberman，1903年10月17日—1968年11月9日）是美國社會主義經濟學家。1949年，他與保羅·斯威齊一起創辦並與其合作編輯《每月評論》。[1] 他是哥倫比亞大學新學院社會科學系主任；PM報的勞動編輯；和流行歷史書《人類世俗商品》（Man’s Worldly Goods）和《我們人民》的作者。[2]

Joseph和Fannie Kramerman-Huberman的十一個孩子中最小的一個，他出生在新澤西州的紐瓦克。他的六個兄弟姐妹在嬰兒期死亡。他從十一歲那年開始在紐瓦克州立學校學習，並作為電工夥伴在賽璐珞工廠和郵局工作，為家庭提供支持。1926年從高中畢業後，他在紐瓦克州立師範學校度過兩年，在那裏他獲得了教師文憑，並在十八歲時開始在小學任教。他在私立實驗學校任教，直到1932年。[3]
1925年，他娶了他的高中同學——也是一名學校老師，格特魯德·海勒（Gertrude Heller）。為了他們的蜜月，他們搭便車到全國各地直到加州並返回新澤西州。[3]
他的第一本書《我們人民》（We the People）在倫敦出版，他在倫敦經濟學院獲得了一席之地。他後來在紐約大學讀書，並於1937年完成了科學學位。他在哥倫比亞大學社會科學學院任職。從1940年起，他成為《美國周刊》（U.S. Week）雜誌的編輯和專欄作家。1949年，他與保羅·斯威齊一起創辦了左翼雜誌《每月評論》，並成為其主編。[3]
