2013年，IAPTI 與 AIIC、 Red t 和 FIT 一道參與了2012年啟動的公開信項目。 後來，國際重要聯繫組織、國際社區口譯發展理事會和世界手語翻譯協會(WASLI)也加入了這些活動。[19]

他們發出了公開信，除其他外，討論了若干問題:
