愛爾蘭人
愛爾蘭人，狹義上指愛爾蘭共和國的公民，廣義上來講是自古居住在愛爾蘭島上的人們。廣義的愛爾蘭人屬於地中海人種（凱爾特人），愛爾蘭島分為兩部分，南部是愛爾蘭共和國，北部是北愛爾蘭，由英國統治。但無論南北，都屬於廣義的愛爾蘭人。

愛爾蘭人（Irish: Muintir na hÉireann or na hÉireannaigh; Ulster-Scots: Airisch or Airish fowk）是歐洲西北部的愛爾蘭島的一個種族。愛爾蘭島有人居住的歷史達9000年（根據考古學研究，詳見史前愛爾蘭）。
關於愛爾蘭人的祖先，傳說中他們是 Nemedians族、佛摩爾族、伯克族、 Tuatha Dé Danann族和米利都人中一族的後人。一本愛爾蘭神學書Lebor Gabála Érenn說Tuatha Dé Dananns是Scythian 人的後代。

Recent increases in the number who identify as Australian suggest that this number is an underestimate of the true number with Irish ancestry.
