MSCI香港指数

MSCI香港指数（英语：MSCI Hong Kong Index），前称摩根士丹利资本国际香港指数，俗称大摩香港指数[1]，是由明晟编制并发布的股票指数，追踪香港大盘股和中盘股的表现。指数于1986年3月31日启动。[2]指数的计算方式以市值作基础[3]，覆盖香港本地公司股票市场约85％的流通市值。[2]由于MSCI香港指数涵盖香港市值较大的本地公司，因此比包括中国大陆在港上市公司的恒生指数更能反映香港公司的表现。[4][1]明晟另设有MSCI香港小型股指数(MSCI Hong Kong Small Cap Index)和MSCI香港微型股指数(MSCI Hong Kong Micro Cap Index)，追踪不包括在MSCI香港指数的公司。追踪MSCI香港指数的ETF包括于美国上市的iShares MSCI香港ETF (EWH)。[5]

1993年3月，新加坡国际金融交易所（SIMEX）曾推出MSCI香港指数期货，首年交易量达66,000张。然而因投资者偏好于交投更活跃的香港期货交易所恒生指数期货，交易量于1994年跌至约500张[6][7]，其后新加坡国际金融交易所中止经营有关业务。[8]

1998年11月23日，新加坡国际金融交易所重新推出MSCI香港指数期货（HiMSCI）[7]，与恒指期货构成直接竞争[9]。香港期货交易所推出一系列措施应对，包括延长恒指期货交易时间和豁免相关交易费用。[9][10][8]。香港联合交易所向资讯供应商路透社发信，要求终止向摩根士丹利提供港股实时报价资料以计算MSCI香港指数[11]，时任摩根士丹利常务董事Henry Fernandez对此表示惊讶，并指证券价格一般被认为是公开的资讯。[8]香港中文大学教授蒋炤坪表示缺乏实时数据会令MSCI香港指数期货难以吸引投资者。香港城市大学教授张仁良支持联交所的决定，他认为一些投资者会因较宽松的保证金要求和披露要求而转往新加坡交易[12]。一年后，新加坡国际金融交易所的香港指数期货交易量只占市场0.1%，在某些月份更没有录得任何交易。[13]2020年，MSCI与新加坡交易所结束了23年的合作关系，转而跟香港交易所合作推出多种期货合约，其中包括MSCI香港指数期货。[14][15]
